Sarah's Cute!

Sarah was always turning heads with hairdoos like this one. Paul is the one that pointed this out. Nice mop.

The Two Greatest Kids Ever.

These are the two dirtiest kids I've ever seen! Paul and Aaron, do you remember this? Paul always had some sort of cut in his head. What is he looking at? Sarah's mullet?

Becca Shoots

Here is Rebecca at the foul line. This was against Canyon View, which was a tough game. The next game was with Timberline. This is where we got to say hello to Bob Day and Taylor Day, old 4th ward members. Posted by Picasa

Pass the cheese please

I spoke to Howie at work the other day. He said he used to play basketball at Orem High. This must have been 25 years ago. He said he played with Chessman. He was a good player. Howie said he use to yell out 'Cheese Man' when they both were at Orem High School 25 years ago. Of course Chessman did not like it, but Howie yelled it any way.

I told him of my experience at a BYU came where Sarah was playing Dec 31, 2004. There was Chessman, the girl that Sarah had played against for the last 5/6 years. Both were capable players, both knew each others strengths and weeknesses. The coach wanted Sarah to play a certain way. Sarah knew it did not make much sense to do this, so she guarded her the same old way.

Then there was the fans. I was one of them. I never called her any names before, but this game it just came out. 'Cheese Man'. I saw her on the monitor, during a freethrow, 'Cheese Man', she would cringe. I yelled it again, and again.

I think BYU was a better team. However this was the game SUU won, with the last second shot by Sarah. Some of my neighbors still remember how loud I was, and excited that they finally won a game against BYU. They did not know who they should cheer for BYU or SUU.
But I cheered and cheered and cheered. I also yelled 'Cheese Man'. The fans really made a difference in that game.

The next year we played at BYU again, but it just was not the same. And BYU played a better game.

And what about Howie. Well today he still yells out names at people. Today he yells at me 'Hey Green Weenie'. This is because I have a new green hard hat. And I don't like him yelling funny names at me.

My Dad

This is how my Dad cooks a Cajun Fried Turkey.
He looks pretty great under that box.
Sarah took this picture with her camera phone. I don't know if he knew what was going on but at least we had a great turkey.

Cameron's First Steps

Cosette came by one day. She was coy in here greeting, but really wanted to show us how Cameron could walk on his own. We were all elaited of his great accomplishment. But then we are amaized at all the things a little person can do on their own.

From his first eyes opening, he learns to want more. He practices, reaches, touches, crys for, and still wants more.

Now maybe we can work on those teeth.

Blessing of GH

Well, when I was called as financial clerk, they were difficult times. It was pretty slim pickins. (I was looking for work at the time.) I would go up to Uncle Waynes once per week, Raquel was working, etc.

Then I received this calling to be the financial clerk. I had done my part and learned as much as I could from the manuals and previous clerk. Then it was the High Council assignment to set me apart. It just so happend that the HC was Mike Patterson, my Home Teacher.

Well the usual comments were said, then, as I remember, he said 'that all my bills would be paid, as I magnified my calling'. I have thought about this from time to time and it still rings true today. That during my last stint of being unemployed all my bills were paid on time.

Isn't this just wonderful?

Prayer by Granville A Hutton

Prayer by Granville A. Hutton Sr.

For my children and many others

while sick in hospital Feb. 1971.

My Heavenly Father, I pray for my children, their families, and many others. Oh God, I pray you will lead them with truth to that straight gate, and narrow way, which leadeth unto life. (Matt 7:13-14) I pray when they stand before the Judgment bar of Christ (John 5:22) they will hear “well done thou good and faithful servant, let him enter into the presence of the Lord.” It seems it would be a terrible tragedy if you would have to say to any one of them “I never knew you, depart from, ye that work iniquity.” (Matt 7:23) Father help me to not let this happen. I know there will be many discouragements, hardships, temptations, trials, and for some tribulation. I pray you will help them to have faith and look up to thee for help and you will help them over come all evils that come their way. (Gen 17:8) We wonder why you had to take Myrtle away but we hold nothing against thee because you knew best. Please help us to bear the burden of sorrow and loveliness and help us to so live that we will be worthy to be with Myrtle again.

Father help us to have faith, courage, give us strength, understanding, and wisdom, that we can forget the evil things of this life and think of the good things that God has in store for us.

I pray for the truth to be taught in the Churches of our community, help men, women, and children to bring fruit meet for repentance, (Matt 3:8-10) so they can find the way to their Savior and have eternal life, and exaltation in the celestial kingdom. (1 Cor 15:40-42) I cling to: “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened”, (Matt 7:7-8) also: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heaven layden, and I will give you rest.” (Matt 11:28)

I thank thee for all the blessings and good things you send our way. I pray tonight you will forgive us of our sins and shortcomings and help us to live closer to our savior’s example, everyday of our lives, as we try harder to do Gods will. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. (Col 3:17, I Cor 10:31)

Read at my funeral if you like.

Hello Google Earth

Glacier Point

Well, John was the first to tell me about Google Earth. This is a program that when you look at the map of the world you can zoom in/out pan/left/right, etc. We looked at this yesterday at the City of Orem, and could see the mountains. I rode up Provo canyon, then turned around and flew out to Johns home. It was great.

So then I thought of going to Yosemite. So I chose to sit on top of Glacier point and look at Half dome. This is where you can see Vernal Falls and Nevada Falls. This summer we could hike to both of these.

My brother and I were had Glacier point one time. We were just sitting there enjoying the view. We were tired from our ride. When a family came up to have their picture taken. The father grabbed his infant by the hand and held it over the cliff and said 'OK take the picture.' We sure were supprised.

As I think back upon Yosemite, my father took us there when we were young. I bet the first time we camped there was 1964. I remember having nighmares of falling over the falls. You may remember there is a recording of our visit. It was always a special place to go. Now I wish I went there more often.

Well what do you think of Yosemite?

These are the Huttons in the phone book

Hey what a handsome group. This was just great to have everyone available. Raquel sure knows how to organize these pictures. Posted by Picasa

Well one year we went to Yosemite.

This was the place where they cut a hole in the tree so big you could drive a car through. Well it may have been a small car. (I remeber the tree fell down a couple of year ago). So here I am in front of the tree.

Back then when you got pictures developed they would print the month and year into the margins. This picure has Aug 72. So I was a brand new member of the church then. Pretty cool huh?

Blog of Gary Hutton

Today we enter the world of BLOGS. Hello Blogs.

As everyone wants to know how the interview went, well the one on thursday was with Rick Bennedict. The interview today was with Doug Schropel. Thursdays was great. Even Ann said he was really impressed with me. But today it was just a bunch of questions and answers. I cannot tell how it went.

I really appriciate your prayers, comments, suggestions on my behalf. I seem to not know how to ask for myself.

Well that is it for now.
