52 Weeks Starting in April

It was such a nice wonderful day. I just jumped at the opportunity to
go for a hike. I talked myself into it by taking 3 Advil before
starting out. I wanted to hike today, because I did not think I would
get a chance on the week end. Rain and Snow for confrence week end. I
also wanted to Listen to a Prophets Voice.

I remember one of my first hikes was to this cane pipe. On that day it
was all I could do. I was happy to reach this pipe and continue on. I
wanted to push myself farther than I ever had.

You can see the road way is clear of mud. Even tho there were still
some mud holes. What a great view.

I wanted to find all the trails that reach out from this road. Where
are they? Do they start at each of these signs? I was looking for foot
paths to give me a clue. Will some one explain to me where I can find
these other trails?

I would also like to try other locations to hike. Has anyone ever
hiked around Utah Lake? Is there a path there?

I was also looking for places to go camping. I found some nice flat
places to pitch a tent. Can I go camping there anytime I want? Do I
need a permit to camp? Can I cook on a small camp stove? I think these
places wold be a great overnighter. I was first thinking of hiking in
on a Friday evening then going home for breakfast. Then the thought
occured to me, 'Paul would like to go on his bike'! Nice and fast to
get there and home again. What do you think Paul? Could I use Becca's
bike and make an evening of it?

One more picture of Timpanogos.

Then one more picture of me and my shadow. Every one knows where every
I go my shadow goes also.

Sam White Lane

Well another week has gone by.
I meant to hike the hills again. But we did have several days with
rain and snow. However I did get out of the house. I was invited by
Utah County ARES to help with Scouting for Food. I was stationed at
the Lehi Stake Center. Then on the way home I stoped by the bridge
farm for Sam White Lane.

It looks like a tire convention. There are so many tires, I was not
able to count them all. This bridge is really big. Did I tell you this
bridge is big. This is the biggest bridge they have ever done. It is
supposed to call National Attention. I have heard that there will be
major reporters here covering this event. This event what do you mean?
It is just a bridge.

Tonight at 11:00 pm. (2300 hrs) they will close I-15, and start the
wheels rolling. This is so exciting that it is almost enough to get up
at night and come see the movement.

Missed a week

Spring is here, but the mud discourages me from hiking in the foothills. Then again I do have a Colonoscopy scheduled for Tuesday. So it looks like I will have to skip a week before exploring the these trails east of Orem. Then again I did sleep out on Friday evening. Does this count? Well I should have taken a picture.

Found Twitter

I was reading the other evening about twitter. I found that by having a twitter account I could have text mail sent to my phone. I am way looking forward to this.

This means if you cannot get in touch with me on the phone you could leave a simple text message with a tweet.

Will you try to send me a message.

Ben the Wagon Boy

Well, Rebecca found Bens Story on the Web. Apparently Dallin Oaks used it in an article.

52-3-12 Weeks in the foothills

I was going to go all the way, today. But then the road was just too
muddy with ruts. So I stopped at the top of the hill and came back.
Before doing so I saw another car wreck. Hit the guard rail, then
rolled to the right. Oh, what a mess.

Then on Saturday I was at the round-a-bout on 7th east helping with
the Rex Lee Run.

52-3-6 Clear as Glass

What a wonderful day. The high for the day was 54. The wind was calm.
The lake was clear as glass. I could see a reflection in the lake. I
waited for an orange sunset, but the sun went behind a cloud instead.

Decided to take one of the trails and had company, (the deer). Then
came home later and got an evening shot of the valley
