Our New Truck

Hey! Look at our new truck. We bought this to improve our gas mileage going up to SLC everyday this summer. We found a truck that I actually fit it. "We plan on using this new truck to go camping and do other fun things," said Cami. "It was a steal of a deal." It's a Ford Ranger 2-wheel drive. Cami says, "It's cute." Posted by Picasa

Embrex

This is where my nephew Trevor Hutton works.

Which one came first the chicken or the egg?

The Hutton Tigger

I just could not resist this picture of Sarah jumping in the air.

Sarah still just likes to jump in the air.

Kari's Dream year comes to an end

Kneeling in front of a bunch of flowers.

If only my head wasn't ruining the picture

My roommate is sending this to her missionary and telling him to picture himself next to her on the bench.

I love the red flowers, I guess you could pretend a guy was next to me too.

Game Day Coordinator

This is Gary Hutton BYU Lacrosse's Game Day Coordinator. I don't know how many of you knew this. I think one year I asked him to help out doing some lacrosse stuff and the next thing I knew Jason Lamb had asked him to do all this extra stuff.
Being the coordinator means that he works at all the BYU Lacrosse games. He coordinates. I don't know much more than that but it's pretty darn important because he got his picture on the official BYU Lacrosse website, wears headphones during the game, gets a KBYU pass he ties to his belt, and he does the half time show.
I think he is the half time show coordinating people out of the stands to shoot the ball from the midfield into the goal. He stands in the goal when people shoot the ball. Don't worry they never get close to hitting him. Being the coordinator is a very safe job.
He coordinates KBYU-TV. He wears big head phones and talks to the people in the KBYU-TV van. One time a KBYU girl asked, "How do you spell half time?" Well, Gary had to coordinate that. He also coordinates the other teams arrival and accomodations on campus.
I think it's awesome all the stuff that my Dad does.
I just wanted everyone to know that.

Oakland Bay Bridge

At work we are building the walkway for this Bridge. This first picture shows the old bridge and where the new roadway will be positioned.
Bridge

The next picture show about how far they have progressed. The white of the cement looks great. Ah, the smell of new concrete.
Progressed

The next picture shows how pretty green the water can be. It also shows the first lane completion and the start of the opposite direction roadway. You can also see how the roadway goes out much further before making the turn to Angel Island.
Green Water

The last picture begins to show which part we are working on. Looking up at the bottom of the bridge and to the right you can see the cantilevers poking out. The walkway we are working on will be placed upon these. Yes, we have a very small part we are working on. This view is looking East or towards Oakland.
Shows Walkway

Here is another shot with one section of walkway in position. The view is looking towards Angel Island, [West].

And here I am with Becca; we are in the Mountain States yard, and are standing on the walkways before being shipped out. Notice we have matching colored shirts, and that we are very strong.

Re: [Gary Hutton Blog] 4/13/2006

Lisa,

Yes, after going back to review my comments, I realized the 2nd comment was much better than mine.

The Temple is a place for families to be sealed together for time and all eternity.

A temple is literally a house of the Lord, a holy sanctuary in which sacred ceremonies and ordinances of the gospel are performed by and for the living and also in behalf of the dead. A place where the Lord may come, it is the most holy of any place of worship on the earth. Only the home can compare with the temple in sacredness.

This might be a simple definition. Does this help?

I asked another family member and they said:
To go to the temple there are certain steps for preparation. You have to be morally and spiritually clean. You have to have a testimony of Jesus Christ and Joseph Smith. You also have to be baptized. A Bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints needs to interview you and decide that you are worthy. No, the temple is not a vacation spot.

To learn more about temples you could go here, or here.

Gary

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I know I have stood up tall...I know now I was made in the image of God & have the mind of Christ. I went through a ministry/rehab to learn the truth for 2 years. I do have a question for you, what do you mean by getting ready to "go" to the temple? Is that a vacation spot? The Bible says we are (I AM) the temple of God. God bless you and you whole huge family. Hey..if you get a chance, read the links on my blog. Panmaquono is my fiancee's blog. The art gallery is my brother in law, Xanga is mine and Crossroadsrestorationcenter is our church. have a great day!!

36' 2"

Rebecca has beeten (beaten) her best record, again.Becca Posted by Picasa

That was Dad's comment and I would have corrected the spelling if it wouldn't have been such a funny mistake. Dad is talking about my highest PR (Personal Record) for the shotput. I threw this just today at our meet against Lakeridge and PG. If you know what you're looking for you can see my horrible sun burn. Yay for Shotput!

Temple

Oh, wow LISA has read this BLOG and left a response.
How should we answer this question?
Should we send email?
Or do we tell her about our church ?
Or do we tell her about the closest temple in Chicago or Nauvoo that she could go visit?
Or do we tell her about our family?

I know this is way too many links to look at. But how do we respond to this question?

Paul's Internship

Once upon a time Paul Albert Hutton interviewed two consecutive weeks with Equity Capital Group. And on the second visit to Murray, he came away triumphant with a summer internship. He will begin his summer training on May 1, 2006. Equity Capital buys homes, turns around and sells them wholesale, or fixes them up and resells. Paul will use his landscaping skills, home repair skills, accounting skills, nun-chuck skills, etc, in this internship.

Cami and Paul's Conference Weekend

Paul and Cami spent conference Saturday up in Cache Valley with the Timpanogos High School Lacrosse team. The team played Mt. Crest and Sky View, winning both, while enjoying all types of weather: snow, rain, and sunshine! Paul was able to watch priesthood session in Logan with the majority of the lacrosse team.

While driving through the City of Logan we stopped by to take a picture. We found a few minutes to take a picture while it wasn't raining or snowing. Hope you enjoy it!!!

Relia's Photo Album

Grandma Nelson, one time borrowed Relia's photo album. You know the ones. Grandma Christensen says it is ok to use them for a short period, but she wants them back as soon as possible.

Well this time Ann scanned all of them and put it on a CD.

Well I finally got around to doing something with all of these pictures. So I imported them into Picasa, dressed them up a little with crop, straighten, and I'm feeling lucky. All of these really improved the pictures. But I tried to leave as much of the feel of the original album. Then I made a Web page with Picasa, before uploading them to the internet.

Now everyone can see this album. How many people do you recognize? Or, can you find Homer, Langley, Sarah Andrews, Clare, Niels, Bernard?

What do you need to do. . . .

I went around my work to several workers and asked them, "What do you need to do to get ready to go to the temple?"

I got several different kinds of answers. With P.A. he said he just needed to get in his car and go, with L.B. he said he would have to quit smoking, go to church and just plain want to go to the temple. With J.D. he said he would need to read the Book of Mormon and then get baptized. At least they knew.

With D.A. I asked him several times. He never wanted to give me an answer. He finally just back out of the room and left. He never anwered my question. I think he knew, but did not want to talk about this subject.

Well today, I asked about D.A. Where is he? I have not seem him for awhile. I was informed that he no longer works here. They fired him.

Well maybe these items are not related. But maybe they are.

I hope you can answer the question, "What do you need to do to get ready to go to the Temple?"

Conference

Uncle Gary asked me to blog my favorite conference talk, and so that is what I am doing. I always enjoy Pres. Hinckley's talks, but his wasn't my favorite. I think I'd have to say the David R. Stone's was my favorite because, it made me think about my status and if I am helping to build up Zion in the midst of Babylon. He made lots of good points and I like the way he said things.
I hope it doesn't sound as if I'm copying anyone, because I know Aaron liked his too, but I really feel like his was my favorite.

Some old Pictures

Ok, its Sunday, and I started to look at some old pictures. I found some really old ones with John. Do you remember when my grandmother Hanson came to visit. She was on the way to California, and wanted to stop here for an evening.

It was just amazing when Raquel went to the airport by herself and came home with my grandmother. We had a great time. I remember it was close to Christmas and she helped us string popcorn on a thread for the Christmas tree. She was also quite alarmed when the trains went by. It did not seem to bother us.

And also here is John in a towel. He liked to zoom around the house with just the towel on. [It was only fair that we found one of you John]

176 Annual General Confrence

What are your best talks from Confrence?

Mine came from Saturday evening. Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf spoke about seeing the ending from the begining, and how as a boy riding a bicycle to deliver laundry. He did not like it very much, but as it turned out it was a blessing for him.

I too wonder why I go through the things I do. It seems the spirit says, to just be patient, things will not always be the same. All of these experiences will be of benifit someday.

I was also greatly encouraged to read the Book of Mormon, and to be kinder and more considerate to others.
