Oakland Bay Bridge

At work we are building the walkway for this Bridge. This first picture shows the old bridge and where the new roadway will be positioned.

The next picture show about how far they have progressed. The white of the cement looks great. Ah, the smell of new concrete.
Progressed

The next picture shows how pretty green the water can be. It also shows the first lane completion and the start of the opposite direction roadway. You can also see how the roadway goes out much further before making the turn to Angel Island.
Green Water

The last picture begins to show which part we are working on. Looking up at the bottom of the bridge and to the right you can see the cantilevers poking out. The walkway we are working on will be placed upon these. Yes, we have a very small part we are working on. This view is looking East or towards Oakland.
Shows Walkway

Here is another shot with one section of walkway in position. The view is looking towards Angel Island, [West].

And here I am with Becca; we are in the Mountain States yard, and are standing on the walkways before being shipped out. Notice we have matching colored shirts, and that we are very strong.
